Position: Business Consultant
Overview:
Consultant with telecommunications business development or business process experience, in a wireline and broadband operator environment with a strong project management acumen is sought. Must have experience in and appreciation of telecom business functional roles from Product marketing, Product development, Technology development, through to Network Operations, maintenance and client care.
Responsibilities
- To assist in translating business requirements from the design activity into work-plans.
- Developing Product and services plans, take to market strategy, performance plan, communications plan.
- Define existing and new product and services
- Support client interaction/presentations
- Conduct business requirements analysis and solution design.
- Ensure strategic initiatives and workplans are agreed with other business units.
- Prepare necessary documentation and support customer meetings and training
Skills Required:
- You will have excellent presentation and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Business experience and Technical exposure in the broadband telecom industry including convergence of wireline and wireless networks.
- Good understanding of business processes, methodologies and tools used in a telecom environment including business financial modeling.
- Attention to detail and follow through on commitments.
- Ability to articulate technology and the business advantages of solutions to target audiences, including technology architects but specifically to business decision makers and influencers
- Must have an appreciation of customer satisfaction, quality & performance improvement as it applies to the business/technology processes and the various business stakeholders (internal and external).
Qualifications
- Undergraduate/Postgraduate degree in Marketing, Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent.
- 5-10 years professional experience.
- prefer business and project management consultant with business process improvement background in a telecom environment.
- Must be comfortable working in a consulting environment with little supervision, with customers and in a team environment.
- Must be willing to travel internationally for extended time periods.
