Position: Technical Project Manager
Scope of Position:
- An energetic and ambitious individual with strong technical skills in the telecommunications software engineering life cycle and a general project management acumen is sought.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for reviewing RFx, estimations, scope of work (SOW), work allocation for the team.
- Coordinate with onsite and offshore team to ensure quality deliverable and successful transition to customer.
- Responsible for risk identification and tracking.
- Manages software consulting projects, assess the business requirements to be achieved, the capabilities of the project team, and alternative approaches to meet the requirement.
- Ensures the development and implementation of required policies, procedures, work instructions, and standards assuring all products and services provided meet customer and company requirements in a cost effective and efficient manner.
- Facilitates and ensures individual and team roles and responsibilities are understood; performance measurement objectives are identified, measured and monitored on an on-going basis in order to provide positive feedback on accomplishments and to ensure immediate action is taken to address shortfalls.
Communication skills:
- Single point of contact for offshore delivery team.
- Manage customer communication including technical reviews with customer.
- Ensure all teams follow quality process for development and testing standards.
Technical skills:
- Manage technical aspects of the project.
- Coordinate with architects, developers and testers for clarifying technical problems.
- Verify the software code in constructed per specifications and standards.
- Engage in technical reviews of requirements, architecture, product code and test plan as critical reviewer.
- Track open technical issues to closure.

Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years (minimum) experience in an R&D Role with 1 – 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
- PMP certification would be is an asset.
